Another one from my graduation party. I feel as if I should know these lovely ladies but alas their names escape me. What can I say, I probably only met them 2-3 times in my adult life.
Hey this one has a description on the back! "Obe, Ed, Lauri, and Todd. Grandma Stocks last Xmas get-together for her family." Also the year is written with a question mark, 1976?
I recognize some but not all of the people in this photo. I have no idea who is giving Bill a big kiss. It should be fun naming everyone in this picture.
Wendi and I were trying to figure who this family is back in September when the big box of pictures was brought out. It is dated 09/30/78. Also, everything old is new again. The sunglasses the woman is wearing are back in style now.
So just to recap, I am pulling pictures out of this box randomly. I am not choosing them based on their content as this picture clearly has no point in being here, well except to highlight the yellow wallpaper that used to be in the kitchen. Was Lauri camera shy back then? I'm guessing this is '82 or '83.
First things first, the mutton chops are awesome! This picture has the inscription of what I think is "Kirby Hidy and me." Me would be Bill and Kirby would be a classmate I presume. Also, there is a string of code on the back of the photo, J029672. Taken in '72 maybe?
Hey this one has a date! I have no idea who these two are though. I fully apologize now if it is someone I should know or remember. Dig that silver though!
Betty just seems thrilled to have received this mirrored mantle, plant holder, shelf thing! Seriously, what do you call it? Also pictured is Maureen on the left and Obe on the right. From some random 80's Hesselschwardt Christmas.
Easter Sunday in '82 I believe. There I am crying because I just fell and ripped a big hole in the knee of a very dashing corduroy suit that Betty or Mom purchased for me. This is after both of them repeatedly told me to stop running. Let this be a lesson to Katey, Nolan, Melia, and Lilly. Don't run in your Easter Sunday outfit or you too will end up in a silly picture on the internet.
So last September when I was visiting Defiance for the annual family reunion I procured a giant box of photos from my parent’s house. Upon returning to Chicago they went right back into a closet. They have spent most of their time in a closet and have rarely been viewed. Well no more! From time to time I will post some here and add whatever commentary I can. Most of them do not have dates or places on the back of them so any input from you, my family, would be greatly appreciated. Just comment right below them or email me with what you know or remember about that particular picture and I can add that info to the description. I hope this works and that everyone enjoys this endeavor.
